Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation and amendments

Using engineering professionals, Virgin Globe prepares a unique SWPPP to each facility that satisfies the requirements of State and Federal regulations and permits. Our service include filing Notice of Intent (NOI), Notice of Termination (NOT) and setting up all necessary paperwork for inspection.

Field inspections, compliance monitoring and reports

Storm water site inspections, water quality monitoring and reporting are mandatory for all projects covered under the NPDES permit. We provide on-site consulting to improve storm water runoff discharges quality from construction site and to comply with NPDES permits and all related State and Federal regulations. Inspection frequency will be determined on a project by project basis. The results of inspections, monitoring and assessments will be presented in reports and checklist format.

Monitoring and storm water performance evaluation

We provide a special evaluation service to verify conformance with NPDES permit . This evaluation includes a unique rating criterion to establish an accurate assessment of the project’s performance with water pollution control requirements for a certain period of time (usually the rainy season). Using this evaluation criterion proved to have positive impacts on the overall project’s performance providing consistency in water quality performance analysis and assessment. The results of inspections, monitoring, assessments and evaluation will be presented in reports and checklist format.

Sampling and Analysis

In April 2001, California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) modified the NPDES General permit for Storm Water Discharges Runoff Associated with Construction Activity (Order No.98-08-DWQ). The new modification requires new sampling and analytical requirements for construction projects. Our sampling and analysis service includes coordination with laboratories, on-site sampling, evaluation of test results and the preparation of reports for submission to permitting authorities.

Training

Per NPDES permit, individuals responsible for SWPPP preparation and implementation should be trained. This include those personal responsible for installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of all control measures on-site known as Best Management Practices (BMPs). We provide on job, one on one and/or multimedia training.

Storm Water Studies and Plans

To implement successful storm water management programs we prepare site specific storm water studies which include assessments, strategies, analysis and master planning.
